Our story began in April of 1988 when David and I started dating, and he asked me to visit his grandparents. We continued to date and travel on the weekends to his grandparents' where we both fell in love, not only with each other, but with his grandparents, Harold and Alice 'Shakey Lake' Wall, and the farm. David and I married in April of the following year in their quaint little country church. Over the years, I grew especially fond of his grandmother, known as 'GG' since she was the Great Grandmother of our five children! ‘GG’ had a passion for sharing The Gospel, an unconditional love for her husband of 63 years, calling him 'lover' until the very end, and an undying love for her family! She also had a love for making jellies and jams with all the fresh fruits growing on the farm. I was often scolded for using a knife in her jelly, being told that 'her jelly was so good, we only use a spoon!'
